This is pretty much the epitome of my life at the moment, except where I live they are 10B! (30 cents)

And one week later - we are getting a little desperate, even though we shouldn’t be expecting a job so soon - it’s just a little scary that we might have to continue splurging our money on accommodation and food and travel etc.
Here is my first eclipse EVER! I thought it was so magical, but I didn’t know it would take so long, plus it wasn’t as dramatic as I thought it would be. But still! I took this opportunity to meditate on such an amazing occurrence, and 2 days later we get a call about an interview for a job just outside Bangkok, TOGETHER!! I knew the universe was on my side. First time traveler out alone in the world at 19 - and just about to turn the big two-zero. Lucky me.
So, we dressed up all smart and went into the office to meet Marek who was interviewing us, and surprising enough.. The duration of the interview involved Marek selling the job to us, and hardly asking us any questions except for - can you start tomorrow?
And BOOM, here we are.

We decided to move hotels to somewhere that had a pool and more of a relaxed homey feel - that wouldn’t break the budget of course, and this is the view we got at night. I can’t say this photo was that great, but I hope that you get the main idea. It was a breathtaking view, but at the same time a little bittersweet because of the thick pollution in the air. We were aching to get out of Bangkok already after having such a relaxing month in a peaceful place, then such a dramatic change to somewhere so busy and big.

You can probably tell that I’m in love with sunsets. It just amazes me that every evening you can see the same sun setting, but it looks totally different everytime, and every single day it feels different. You’ve experienced something new at the end of each day. It feels so uplifting to witness such an amazing gift from the universe, and to ponder on everything once I’ve taken it in. A good sunset always makes me feel a little bit more whole.
Anyway - back in Bangkok after an amazingly life changing and relaxing month on the magical island Koh Phangan. Now it’s time to get serious and find a job, and to tell you the truth - we are so nervous about finding one!!! Especially together. So here we are in rural Bangkok, staying at a small apartment until we get things rolling.. Living off our savings unfortunately, and we need to pick things up.
To tell you the truth, this is the hardest thing about travel. This is when we feel most vulnerable and homesick - because it’s so terribly difficult to stay positive once you have sent about 20 copies of your resume in the last 2 days and you haven’t gotten one reply yet - AND the school term has already started, not to mention you’re not in your home country, you don’t have a home to relax at, and your friends and family are an ocean away. Lots of reassuring each other and eating our feelings away has been helpful.

Cannot even begin to explain how mind opening it was.
I basically threw all of my preconceived ideas about how to live my life down the drain, and picked up much healthier habits for my mind, body and spirituality.
Just to start with: I learned that using Yogic Homeopathic/Ayurvedic healing - you can beat cancer with a proven success rate of 85%, as opposed to chemotherapy - which has a measly average of 2% success rate. How amazing! Now, before you ask why no one in the Western world knows about this, just remember that the pharmaceutical industry in the West is not going to recommend anything that is natural, because that means no profit.
Just ponder on that before you read on.
I learned how to induce a lucid dream - not only for the novelty factor, but lucid dreaming can also be used as a spiritual path - that’s if you wanted to try all aspects of this spirituality.. I learned how to balance out the polarity of my chakras (my seven energy centres), and that an imbalance in my chakra system can lead to illness and disease. I learned that we are blissful, perfect beings, who shouldn’t base our lives around gossip, other people’s lives and using material possessions to bring happiness, and should instead dedicate our lives to being kind, HONEST, selfless, non violent, and compassionate beings. We can harness the power of the universe by channeling its energy in the right way, to bring in positive energy, and expel negative energy. I learned about diet in a whole new light.
We all equally deserve to be happy - we were born for a reason, to have a purpose - and we need to remember that we don’t need to suffer in order to truly appreciate happiness, because we are so perfect and at one with the universe, and we can harness the energy out there for the greater good, and live peaceful lives. Even if your ultimate goal isn’t enlightenment, it’s a great life path. For the benefit of all aspects of your life, even the relationships you have, and the friends you make. Its a whole new opportunity to change yourself for the better, and to walk the path you were destined to walk before technology and chemicals and the media ruled Earth.
Namaste.

Certificates!! - Feeling amazing after a month of yoga and lectures for 6 hours per day - which in the end was SO worth it - we feel amazing, and have come out of it with so much knowledge! We are definitely changed inside and out. The craziest thing about it, was that I actually feel so much more lucid and healthy - I went through crazy purification of emotions and toxins in my body (hence the look of my skin at the time of this photo).
